Among the biggest challenges for the Asian Teams remains a series win in Australia. India have done it twice in recent years but other touring teams have received a thrashing. England are currently playing a series against Australia in Australia and have been outplayed by the hosts so far.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja, however, is optimistic about Pakistan beating Australia in Australia. Raja said he will not breathe a sigh of relief until Pakistan beat Australia on their home soil. Addressing a press conference, he hailed the impressive growth of the Pakistan team but admitted that there is still a long way to go for the team.

Pakistan have never beaten Australia in Australia. They have played 37 Tests in Australia, winning four and losing 27. Seven matches ended in a draw. However, the team has been doing really well under Babar Azam. They have a good bunch of fast bowlers and promising batters. However, still, beating Australia in Australia is a daunting task.

Meanwhile, speaking about the work he did after taking charge of the PCB, Raja said he raised his voice against the withdrawal of England and New Zealand from the Pakistan tour in front of the ACC which resulted in England and Australia confirming their visits to the country next year. “I said during the meeting that if any Asian country is mistreated, everyone should raise their voices against it,” he disclosed.
