Salman said that Wriddhiman Saha’s acknowledgment of Pant being India’s first-choice keeper is a sign of professionalism.

Wriddhiman Saha stated that he will wait for his turn. Rishabh Pant earned his place as Team India’s wicketkeeper for the WTC final and the series against England. Salman Butt lauded Shah for this statement in a video shared on his YouTube channel. He also noted that the statement mirrored true professionalism in the Indian System. He lauded Shah for being a true professional. The statement showed his nobility.

Rishabh Pant bounded out Saha as India’s prime wicketkeeper in the red-ball format of the game. Pant had put in terrific performance behind the wicket as well as with the bat in the Border-Gavaskar trophy. He also put in a similar performance in the home series against England.

The 23-year old young player has worked on his fitness. He has also improved his performance behind the wicket by leaps and bound. His hard work and dedication to the game have made him indispensable in the Indian Test team.

The World Test Championship is scheduled to be held in June at Southampton. Indian squad flying to England has already arrived in Mumbai to go through a strict quarantine. They would then get on board to go to England.
