According to reports, Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar will compete in a unique stipulation fight at SummerSlam. On the WWE RAW programme that aired after WrestleMania 39, the conflict between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar first surfaced. Cody had pledged to wrap up his saga and beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, but Solo Sikoa threw a monkey wrench in the works, making it impossible.

Rhodes accepted Lesnar's invitation to work with him on RAW against The Bloodline, but before the match even started, he was viciously attacked. Cody overcame Lesnar at Backlash, but The Beast Incarnate got back at him at WWE Night of Champions by using the Kimura Lock to put The American Nightmare to sleep.

The two superstars' animosity will continue, and the WWE is preparing a stipulation match for their third meeting, according to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer. The stipulation for SummerSlam has not been seen by WWE fans in a long, Alvarez said, without revealing what it is.

"I have been told that it is gonna be something. It's not just gonna be a straight match. They've got some sort of stip that allegedly we have not seen in a while and that means not Hell in a Cell. So I wonder what stip they might be coming up with for the third match between these two. I hope it's not ring of fire," said Bryan Alvarez.

The Miz will speak with Cody Rhodes during tonight's RAW

Tonight on the red brand of Miz TV, The American Nightmare will be a guest. He'll probably talk about his feud with Brock Lesnar. The A-Lister may have a difficult evening if The Miz offends Cody Rhodes, who has a history of getting under the skin of those he is interviewing. The Miz lost to Ricochet in his Money in the Bank qualifying match last week because of his recent losing run, which has been rather impressive.

In response to his defeat by Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions, Rhodes recently issued a challenge to the wrestler. The 37-year-old said he would be prepared for a battle and challenged Brock to turn up at any time. When Lesnar and Rhodes square off for a third time at WWE SummerSlam, it will be intriguing to see what kind of stipulation there will be.
