'Ye kab tak changes karte rahenge schedule mein?' - Fans react as ODI World Cup 2023 clash between India and Pakistan set to be rescheduled

Jay Shah, the secretary of the India Cricket Board (ICB), has already stated that certain matches in the 2023 ODI World Cup may be rescheduled due to requests from participating boards. According to the most recent information, one of the matches that will now take place on a new day is the highly anticipated encounter between India and Pakistan.

The match between India and Pakistan was supposed to take place on October 15, but according to a recent report from RevSportz, it will now take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14. In addition, Pakistan's games against Sri Lanka and the Netherlands have been rescheduled for October 6 and October 10, respectively, to give the team ample time to be ready for the India match. An announcement is anticipated in a few days, but ICB and Apex Cricket Council have not yet confirmed the specifics.

However, the governing body wants to resolve the scheduling conflict before the World Cup tickets, which are expected to go on sale on August 10. As of right now, the team captained by Babar Azam will play the Netherlands in their opening match of the competition on October 5 and Sri Lanka in their second match on October 10.

Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium will serve as the venue for both games. However, Pakistan has not yet announced its intention to play in the World Cup. PCB has been criticizing ICB for spearheading the move to move the Asia Cup's venue over the previous six months, and they have since threatened to withhold their support from India should they choose to miss the major competition on the subcontinent. They later said that a security team will be visiting India for an inspection, but as of right now, no confirmation has been given.

Nonetheless, given that the Asia Cup crisis has been settled, there is a perception that the governing body led by Bilawal Bhutto won't cause too much of a stir. Though Pakistan has previously said that the team is hesitant about going to Ahmedabad for any of their fixtures other than the final, an unexpected drama isn't completely out of the question.

Let’s see how Twitter has reacted to it:
