Talking about cricket, KL Rahul failed to live up to the expectations with his performances with the bat in the current season of the Indian Premier League. He appeared to bat in the nine innings of the nine matches, he played for the LSG. In these matches, the 31-year-old could score 274 runs with a below-par strike rate of 113.22 having two half-centuries to his name.
Furthermore, he got replaced by the young wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan in the squad of India for the Test Championship 2023 final. Now it might take time for him to make a comeback in international cricket.
Notably, KL Rahul is going through a lean patch with the bat in international cricket. He could score only 137 runs in the 8 innings of the four Tests last year in 2022 having only one half-century to his name. This poor performance continued for him in 2023 as well.
