Team India are currently busy playing the second Test match of the ongoing Test series in Bangladesh. Team India were looking for a clean sweep after winning the series opener by 188 runs. Despite some reports, Rohit Sharma missed this clash due to his thumb injury and KL Rahul became the skipper again. Rahul guided the team to an easy victory in the first game. But, still, people criticized him badly for his captaincy abilities.

However, KL Rahul has failed to score any big runs for a considerable time now across any format of the game. After making a comeback to the team, he failed to score in the Zimbabwe ODIs. Then, he failed again in top tournaments like Asia Cup 2022 and the 20-20 World Cup 2022. However, he took a rest on the New Zealand tour after the World Cup. So, fans were hoping for a better show with the bat from him.

KL Rahul scored only two runs in the second innings of the second Test match

In the three-match ODI series, Rahul scored just 95 runs in three innings. Then, in the first Test, he scored 22 and 23 runs respectively in two innings. After that, in the first innings of this clash, KL Rahul scored 10 runs off 45 balls, including one four. So, it was another disappointing performance from the batter. Speaking of the match, Bangladesh scored 227 runs in 73.5 overs. In reply, India managed 314 runs in the first innings in 86.3 overs. 

Hence, the Men in Blue took a lead of 87 runs. Then, the Bangla Tigers scored 231 runs in 70.2 overs and set up a target of 145 runs. But, again KL Rahul failed to give a solid start to his team as he departed for just two runs off seven balls. Fans were not happy at all after seeing another failure from him. Even, they lashed out at the head coach, Rahul Dravid for selecting KL Rahul as an opener and a captain despite such performances.
