The star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has stunned cricket fans with his recently-changed Instagram bio. He changed the bio and mentioned the date ’05-01-2023’ as his second date of birth. Notably, he is out of action from international cricket for the last seven months. Pant faced a horrific accident in the wee hours of the 30th of December 2022 while driving from Delhi to his home in Haridwar. Pant’s luxury car went on to hit a divider and immediately caught fire.

Fortunately, the young cricketer was rescued by the people who were around the accident spot. Later on, he was rushed to the Saksham Hospital of Roorkee as the accident happened near the Narsan Border on the Delhi-Dehradun Highway.

After initial medication at Roorkee’s Saksham Hospital and Dehradun’s Max Hospital, Pant was taken to Mumbai for treatment and surgery under the supervision of the Indian Cricket Board’s medical team.

Coming back to his latest Instagram bio, the cricket fans did not miss noticing and coming up with some interesting reactions on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Meanwhile, the former Indian chief selector Kris Srikkanth has talked about Pant’s importance in the Indian team. Srikkanth said that the presence of Pant in the team would have been very crucial during the ODI World Cup 2023.

"We don't know the real truth about Rishabh Pant. Because Rishabh Pant, if he was playing, I would have straightaway said that India are the real favourite for the World Cup. But I think obviously, Rishabh Pant's fitness is questionable. Nobody knows how fit will he be before the World Cup. I doubt it. Many people doubt if he will play in the 2023 World Cup. Otherwise, the Rishabh Pant factor would have been very crucial," Srikkanth was quoted as saying by India Today.

"So, I believe guys like KL Rahul should be back in the middle order. KL Rahul has been fantastic. We have Rohit Sharma opening with Shubman Gill. Then we have Virat Kohli, who has been fantastic in this format and he has been in form. I believe India has got the capabilities of winning the World Cup," he added.
