'You don’t have your private space' : Sakshi Dhoni sheds light on challenges of being a cricketer's wife

Cricket in India is the biggest thing. It has left every form of entertainment behind and has marched forward. This also means that the families of cricketers are also in the spotlight. And if you are the wife of the Superstar MS Dhoni, you attract the most attention.

MS Dhoni's wife, Sakshi Dhoni, has revealed what it is like to be a wife of a famous cricketer. She pointed out that there is no private life and that you cannot escape people's judgements as they are always around in public.

"You don’t have your private space and you cannot be like how you are basically in front of cameras right now. Some people are comfortable in front of the camera, some people are not. And especially with the public, they tend to judge you, like especially when you are a cricketer’s wife. Even when you are doing something like hanging out with friends and they do talk," she said in a video posted by the Chennai team's on social media on women's day.

She also spoke about how their lives are different from others who have different professions.  Sakshi said, "General life changes when you get married and your husband goes to an office. But our husbands go to play sports. So I think you just have to adapt and change according to how they expect you to be and not just sort of stress them out."

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni is preparing for the Indian T20 League with the Chennai team. They begin their campaign against Kolkata in the season opener on the 26th of March.
