Yusuf Pathan was undoubtedly one of the blistering all-rounders ever played for India. He enjoyed a massive fan following in the cricketing fraternity for his explosive batting intent and thrashing bowlers across all corners of the ground. He showcased a similar sort of batting display in the recent match of ILT20 while playing for Dubai Capitals against Desert Vipers in the 20th match of the inaugural edition of the tournament.
The 40-year-old amazed everyone with his impressive batting excellence as he notched up 35 runs off 26 balls with three boundaries and two sixes to his name. Although Pathan’s quick knock ended up on the wrong side of the match he still won the hearts by turning the clock back again to the times when he used to play for India with the same aggressive approach.
Here's how Yusuf Pathan thrashed the Vipers’ bowling attack:

Speaking of the match between Capitals and Vipers, the former won the toss and asked Colin Munro’s men to bat first. Batting first, the Vipers posted a total of 149 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Skipper Munro himself played a captaincy knock of 40 runs with two boundaries and the same number of sixes on his credit.
Adam Zampa scalped three wickets by conceding only 16 runs in his quota of four overs and he was later adjudged ‘player of the match even after the defeat of his team in the match.
While chasing the target, Dubai Capitals fell 13 runs short of the target and lost the match by 12 runs. They could score only 137 runs for the loss of five wickets in the entire 20 overs. Apart from Yusuf Pathan’s 35-run knock, skipper Rovman Powell also scored 34 runs with a boundary and two sixes but it went in vain as the team couldn’t cross the line.
