It has been 11 years since MS Dhoni finished things off in style and helped India lift their second World Cup. On 2nd April 2011, India beat Sri Lanka at the Wankhede stadium to win the tournament after 28 long years. MS Dhoni hit the winning six off the bowling of Nuwan Kulasekara which has become an iconic shot.

The main credit for the win goes to two players who played splendid knocks, MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir. After Sachin Tendulkar departed early, Gambhir got the team back into the game, scoring 97. MS Dhoni also delivered a performance that gave him the tag of the best finisher. He scored 91 runs in the match.

On the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the win, Gambhir shared an Instagram post. "That feeling of fulfilling the dream of a billion people! It was a magical evening!" he wrote in the caption.

This prompted Yuvraj Singh to write in the comments section. He called MS Dhoni the man of the finals in the comment. "The man of the finals! 2011 2007 #msd,"  he wrote in the caption. To this, Gambhir, who has time and again taken a dig at Dhoni, made a witty comment. "And you the man of the tournament! All about teamwork brother," he replied.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir had a face-off in the Indian T20 League. Dhoni was a part of the Chennai team and Gambhir was the mentor of the Lucknow team. Lucknow and Gambhir had the last laugh as they won the thriller of a match.
