Yuzvendra Chahal has made a reputation in the cricketing world as a wicket-taking leg-spinner. He has often shown the guts of giving the ball air even when the batters are trying to be aggressive against him. Besides being a daring wicket-taking bowler, Chahal is also known for his pranks in the dressing room. Chahal is a part of the Rajasthan team in the Indian T20 League 2022. Since he has joined the team, he is having a fun time pulling the legs of his fellow teammates. But in a recent conversation, he spoke of an incident that has left everybody stunned.
In the program ‘Comeback Tales’ of the Rajasthan franchise, Chahal revealed an incident of his time in the Mumbai franchise in 2013. He about being hanged from the balcony of the 15th floor by an overdrunk teammate. He also said that the incident gave him the realization that responsibility is very important while having fun.
“Very few people know about it. I never told it to anyone. It’s from 2013 when I was with Mumbai. We had a match at Bangalore and then a get-together was organized. There was a player who was really drunk, I won’t say his name. he overdrank and then called me, took me outside and then hung me from the balcony,”-said Chahal in the program.
“Luckily my hand was around his neck. If I had lost the grip, we were on the 15th floor. Thankfully, a few people came and got things in control. I kind of fainted after that. That day I realized how important it is to stay responsible when we go anywhere.”- he further added.
Notably, earlier he also revealed an incident where he was left tied and was rescued by a cleaner. He mentioned the names of Andrew Symonds and James Franklin while speaking of the incident. “But then they had forgotten that they had put a tape on my mouth. The next morning, a cleaner saw me and got me out of it.”-Chahal revealed about the incident.
