The star pacer of the Lucknow Super Giants, Avesh Khan has a sense of regret within himself for the infamous helmet moment that happened to be upon him when he threw his helmet after LSG won against RCB. Avesh Khan also recalled the time when fans started trolling him and he got a lot of messages on social media platforms.

Recently, during an interview with the Indian Express, Avesh Khan admitted that it was ‘too much’ to throw the helmet after the win against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

“Yeh social media mein mera mahool bana rehta hai and helmet incident thoda jyada hogaya tha. I realized later that I shouldn’t have done this. It just happened in the heat of the moment. I now feel sad that yaar yeh sab cheez nahi karna tha (The helmet incident was too much for me. I realized later that I shouldn't have done that. It just happened in the heat of the moment,” said Avesh Khan to Indian Express.

Just after this statement from the star LSG pacer, the fans immediately took it as an opportunity to troll him brutally on the micro-blogging site Twitter. Some of the fans also took a dig at Avesh Khan for his contribution in that particular match while playing for LSG.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Apart from this admission on the helmet incident, Avesh Khan also talked about playing for India and coming back to play domestic cricket demands a lot of mental toughness.

“A fast bowler always tries to be at his peak and it’s not easy. A lot goes behind the scenes, be it following a diet, following a proper schedule, or taking 8-9 hours’ sleep. You need proper training and proper recovery too. It looks simple but it’s very tough. When playing domestic cricket, it’s hard to say I won’t bowl much or will bowl only a certain number of overs. I bowled 30-35 overs on average during Ranji Trophy games. There is travel and a one-day break before you recover for the next game,” said Avesh Khan.
