The Indian team has been named for the upcoming T20 World Cup. The men in blue's 15-man squad appears to be very strong, and they will be hoping to do well at the crucial event. While some players are sure to be in the playing XI, others might not get a game in the tournament. In this article, we will look at some of the players who are included in the 15-member squad but might not get a chance to play a game.

Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin, India's star cricketer, has only recently been named to the T20I squad. He had been out of the team for a long time before that. However, he might not be used by the Indian team in the all-important event in Australia.

The conditions in Australia do not favour spinners, and only one spinner may be selected for the XI. Yuzvendra Chahal, a leg spinner who has performed well recently, may be preferred over Ashwin in these conditions.

Deepak Hooda

Deepak Hooda, an emerging all-rounder, has quickly made a name for himself in the International domain. He has impressed everyone with his ability to bat at any position in the team. He can also be handy with the ball and provide a few overs if needed.

However, Hooda might not get a chance to represent the team in this tournament. India has a star-studded lineup, with the majority of the players performing well in the shortest format. Axar Patel, a left-hander, may be given a chance ahead of Deepak Hooda.

Rishabh Pant

The wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has become an integral part of the Indian team over the last few years. He has been doing well in the Test format and the ODI format. However, his form in the shortest format of the game has been forgetful.

His counterpart within the team, Dinesh Karthik, on the other hand, has been in excellent form. Since the Indian T20 League 2022, he has been finishing off games and has performed consistently. Pant may not be India's first-choice wicketkeeper-batter in the team.
