London Spirit and Oval Invincibles locked horns at the Lord's Cricket Ground in The Hundred Men's 2022 competition. The home team (Spirit) won the toss and elected to bat first. They had a poor start as Ben McDermott (0) bagged a duck at the sixth ball of the innings. Josh Inglish (3) followed soon as he was caught at deep square leg by Hilton Cartwright off Matt Milnes.
Adam Rossington and Dan Lawrence put together 45 runs for the third wicket. The former scored 36 off 22 balls before being trapped lbw by Sam Curran. Lawrence (14) followed next at backward point by Milnes off Will Jacks. Skipper Eoin Morgan's runout o the next ball left the team on 67/5 in 54 balls. Ravi Bopara and Jordan Thompson took the team to 110. The team managed to amass 122/7.
Talking about Oval's bowling Sam Curran took three wickets. On the other hand, Peter Hatzoglou, Matt Milnes, and Will Jacks took one each.
Oval Invincible chased down the target without any fuss
In reply, the visitors started well with openers, Jordan Cox and Will Jacks scoring 33 runs in the first 26 balls. Cox (9) got out to a typical left-arm spin from Liam Dawson. Rilee Rossouw came and put together 58 runs for the second wicket with Jacks. This partnership meant that the game was pretty much over for the home team. The left-hander Rilee scored 24 off 22 before being caught at deep point by Lawrence off Nathan Ellis.
Jacks scored 54 off 38 balls including five fours and two sixes before being caught deep midwicket by Inglis off Thompson. Tom Curran's unbeaten 19 off nine balls ensured that the team won the game without any further problems. The Mint Green brigade won the game by six wickets and 14 balls to spare. With this win, they have kept their playoff hopes alive. On the other hand, this is the second defeat for the Blue Brigade in the season.

Would be very surprised if Will Jacks isnโt in the World Cup squad. Serious player.
