India skipper Rohit Sharma came up with a new update on the return of Jasprit Bumrah in team India for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Ireland. Notably, Bumrah is likely to make a comeback in international cricket after a long gap of more than 10 months. He was undergoing rehabilitation from the back injury that he sustained last year in the T20I series against Australia.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has cleared the air on the possibilities of Bumrah’s comeback in the team for international cricket. Notably, the star pacer had been a very crucial part of the side as a leading pacer across all the formats.
“The amount of experience he (Bumrah) brings is very important. Right now, he’s coming from a serious injury and I’ve no idea if he’ll travel to Ireland because the team hasn’t been announced yet,” said Rohit Sharma in the press conference ahead of the first ODI against West Indies.
“If he gets to play then it’s well and we hope he plays before the World Cup. When a player returns from a serious injury, match fitness, match feeling are some key components, which are missing. We’ll see what has been planned and everything depends on his recovery. We are in constant touch with the NCA and things look positive at the moment,” he added.
People sitting outside don't know what is happening inside - Rohit Sharma on Virat Kohli's lean patch
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma also spoke about the lean patch of former India skipper and batting superstar Virat Kohli. He said that the question has been answered by him multiple times.
“I have answered this question multiple times. The outside noise, who has scored how much or has taken how many wickets or hasn’t taken… People sitting outside, when they talk, they don’t know what is happening inside,” said Rohit.
“Inside talks remain inside and we want it to stay inside only. We don’t look into all those things. For us, it is important how we win a win or a series. Our focus is on that instead of who is talking about what. This is something that I have said a number of times and in the future as well I will say this only,” he added later.
This statement from Rohit Sharma drew a lot of contrasting reactions on social media. Fans took to Twitter and trolled the Indian skipper for his statement on Bumrah. Some of the fans also said that Rohit Sharma shouldn't talk about whom to play in the T20Is.

Blud, T20Is ain't in your control now
Lack of cricket practice will surely haunt him. He hasn't played cricket for over an year. It will be difficult for him to come back into rhythm quickly, especially after such a long layoff.
