Indian women’s cricket star Veda Krishnamurthy tied the knot with Karnataka-based cricketer Arjun Hoysala and on her’s late mother’s birthday, January 12, Thursday. The fans, on the other hand, were surprised by the news as they knew about the engagement but there was little to no information about the duo’s marriage. 

The women’s star took to her social media accounts to inform about the marriage and dedicated the moment to her late mother, claiming that it was all for her. For the unversed, Arjun is a part of the Karnataka team in the Ranji Trophy and was a part of various other franchises in the Karnataka Premier League. 

“Mr and Mrs !!! This one’s for you Amma your birthday will remain special always love you Akka  #justmarried 12.01.23  #newlife #wedding” Veda wrote on her Instagram account as he posed with Arjun after signing the documents at the registrar’s office.

The turnaround for Veda Krishnamurthy 

For the unversed, the women’s star lost her mother during the second wave of Covid in 2021, losing her sister a couple of later as well. The Indian women’s cricketer found it difficult to cope with the loss, although things turned around for her in 2022, as she got engaged to Arjun in September 2022. 

Given that she is snubbed from the team, fans await her comeback, as she was a part of the Indian team during the 2017 Women’s world cup and the 20-20 World Cup in 2020. Fans hope that the happy moment would change fortunes for her, given that she has played 48 ODIs and 76  T20Is. 

Pictures from her marriage are doing the rounds on the internet and fans are leaving no stone unturned to share the same on their social media accounts. To speak more of her records, the right-handed batter has gathered 829 runs in the 50-over format, at an average of around 16 with eight fifties to her name. As far as her T20I records are concerned, she has amassed 856 runs to her name at an average of 18.60.
