Young American tennis prodigy Coco Gauff made the US proud once again as she has joined the special list of US Open’s teenage champions. She has now become the third American teenager to win the US Open title just in her teenage. The sixth seed Gauff defeated Belarus’ second-ranked Aryna Sabalenka.

The game lasted between two modern-day tennis sensations for a time of 2 hours and 6 minutes. Gauff went past Sabalenka by a margin of 2-6, 6-3, and 6-2 in a three-set match. She was also on the receiving end of some understatements as the final was scheduled against the confident and strong second-seed Aryna Sabalenka.

Now, after winning her first Grand Slam title, Gauff will be world number one in the updated rankings of next week.
