The Mumbai Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is currently in the headlines of social media for his recent statement ahead of the eliminator match against Gujarat Titans. In his statement, Rohit praised the youngsters, Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera for their stint with the five-time champions Mumbai Indians.
"Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera's story will be similar to Hardik, Krunal, and Bumrah's story. People will say this is a team of superstars,” said Rohit Sharma to Jio Cinema.

Notably, Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans played the first qualifier against Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Bengaluru on the 23rd of May from 7.30 PM. CSK defeated GT by a margin of 15 runs in the first qualifier and became the first team to secure their berth in the final of the 16th edition of the tournament.
Now, Gujarat Titans will take on the losing side of the eliminator match of the tournament. The eliminator of the IPL 2023 will be played between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants. The eliminator of the tournament will also be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai today on the 24th of May from 7.30 PM.
The second qualifier of the current edition of the Indian Premier League will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on the 26th of May and the 28th of May.
Speaking of the four teams in the playoffs, three of these have won the IPL title except Lucknow Super Giants. Mumbai Indians have won the title five times whereas GT and CSK have won the titles for 1 and 4 times respectively.
