Suryakumar Yadav

Star Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav is going through a tough run of form with the bat in the ODI format. This has been a key point of discussion among cricket experts and fans with the Asia Cup 2023 and the ODI World Cup 2023 just around the corner. Earlier, head coach Rahul Dravid and skipper Rohit Sharma also spoke about Suryakumar Yadav's poor form.

However, he smashed a brilliant knock of 83 runs in the third T20I of the five-match series against West Indies as it is a suitable format for the World’s number-one T20I batter. Apart from this, his ODI form is still a big question for Indian management given their team-building concerns for upcoming major tournaments.

Now, SKY himself has admitted his poor form in the ODI format. He also acknowledged the exact problem with his record in the 50-over format. "You got to be honest with yourself. You can't hide behind the bush. At the same time, I am not thinking too much about what's going to happen ahead, thinking about this series," said Suryakumar Yadav before the start of the fourth T20I against West Indies.

Earlier, speaking about the number 4 concern for Team India, skipper Rohit Sharma also came up with an update on Shreyas Iyer’s comeback. “Shreyas Iyer is on track to full fitness, so fingers crossed for World Cup,” said Rohit during a launch event of his cricket academy in the USA.

Notably, Suryakumar Yadav has been given a rest from the upcoming three-match T20I series between India and Ireland. Second-string Team India will travel to Ireland under the captaincy of star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who was not in action in international cricket for a long time due to his back injury.

Apart from this, there are a lot of discussions among cricket experts if Suryakumar Yadav will be given a chance in the squad of Asia Cup 2023, which will be played in the ODI format. Returning to Suryakumar’s honest admission, the fans praised the 32-year-old.
