In a recent piece of news, it has been confirmed that the VVS Laxman will not be a part of the Indian contingent for the Ireland tour. The 15-men squad, alongside the support staff, will travel to Dublin on Tuesday for the three-match T20I series against the hosts. Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah will be leading the second-string Indian side in the series.

Currently, the head coach of the full-string squad, Rahul Dravid, is busy with the Hardik Pandya-led Indian Team in the five-match T20I series against West Indies. Meanwhile, VVS Laxman was designated as the interim coach of the Jasprit Bumrah-led side.

In Laxman’s absence, the team will be looked after by the other members of the support staff, including the likes of Sitanshu Kotak and Sairaj Bahutule.
