Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals locked horns in the 11th match of the Indian Premier League 2023. The Delhi skipper won the toss and asked Rajasthan to bat first; batting first, RR managed to post a decent total of 199 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

While chasing the target, Delhi’s batting lineup couldn’t survive against the bowling attack of Rajasthan and faced the third consecutive defeat in the ongoing 16th edition of the IPL so far. The cricket fans also reacted to the poor performance of Delhi followed by praise for Rajasthan Royals for registering their second win in the tournament. They took to Twitter to come up with a lot of different reactions and responses in the aftermath of the match.

Here's how fans reacted:

Batting first, the star opening pair of Rajasthan, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Jos Buttler gave a strong and amazing start with a partnership of 98 runs for the first wicket in just 8.3 overs. Jaiswal smashed a blistering knock of 60 runs off just 31 balls with 11 boundaries and a six to his name. Whereas, Buttler played a crucial knock of 79 runs off 51 balls with 11 boundaries and a six with the wood.

Other than these two, the middle order batter and star Caribbean southpaw, Shimron Hetmyer contributed with a quick knock of 39 runs off just 21 balls with a boundary and four sixes on his credit to help the team reach a total of 199 runs for the loss of four wickets in the first 20 overs of the match.

Mukesh Kumar scalped two wickets for Delhi alongside one wicket each scalped by Kuldeep Yadav and Rovman Powell.

While defending the target, the spin-pace duo of veterans, Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult scalped three wickets each to shatter the batting lineup of Delhi Capitals. Other than these two, the senior bowlers, Sandeep Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin also scalped 1 and 2 wickets respectively.

Eventually, it was only skipper David Warner who played a struggling knock of 65 runs off 55 balls with seven boundaries and Delhi lost the match by a big margin of 57 runs. Young batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal won β€˜the Player of the Match award for his swashbuckling half-century.
