Sachin Tendulkar has been one of the greatest players in Indian Cricket history. Sachin is the one and only batter who scored 100 international centuries across all formats. Even, in the domestic circuit, he was a legend with the bat. In the Ranji Trophy, Sachin Tendulkar played 57 innings where he scored 4281 runs at an average of 87.36.
In those innings, he managed to score 18 hundred and 19 fifties. However, he also smashed a hundred on his Ranji Trophy debut against Gujarat. The match took place at the Wankhede Stadium in the 1988-89 season. Sachin scored his hundred off 129 balls with 12 boundaries and became the youngest batsman to reach triple figures on his Ranji Trophy debut. Now, after 34 years, during the Ranji Trophy 2022-23 season, his son, Arjun Tendulkar emulated the same feat as he scored a hundred on his Ranji Trophy debut.

On 13 December 2022, Goa took on Rajasthan in the Goa Cricket Association Academy. However, before this season, Arjun switched from Mumbai to Goa in order to get more game time. So, Goa handed him a debut in the first match only. Speaking of the match, Rajasthan won the toss and opted to bowl first. However, at the end of Day one, Goa scored 210 runs for five wickets. Arjun came to bat at number seven and he was not out after scoring four runs off 15 balls.
But, on the second day, Arjun continued to show his class and scored his maiden ton off 178 balls with the help of 12 fours and two sixes. Thus, he managed to emulate his father, the great Sachin Tendulkar as he also smashed a hundred on his Ranji Trophy debut. Fans also went crazy after seeing such an inning from the Southpaw batter. Currently, Goa have scored 410 runs for five wickets while Arjun Tendulkar is batting 112* runs off 196 balls.
