Bangalore to unveil new skipper on March 12 in a grand event

All the teams have announced their captains for the Indian T20 League 2022, except for Bangalore. The fans have been wondering who will lead the team now that Virat no longer will lead the side for the season. The wait will be over soon as the Bangalore team has announced the date they will reveal their captain.

Bangalore's official Twitter handle posted a tweet announcing the event date. The event will take place on the 12th of March at the Museum Cross Roads, Church Street in Bangalore. The event is called 'RCB Unboxed.'

The Bangalore team has a few options to choose from as their new captain. Faf du Plessis has the highest possibility of becoming the captain as expected by many pundits. He has a good understanding of the game and gets along well with the young players.

Dinesh Karthik also is a great option for the team as he has good experience in the leadership role. More recently, he guided Tamil Nadu, his domestic team, to Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy win in 2021. He too can be a good option for the team.

Meanwhile, some team officials had earlier stated that if they are unable to find a good option, they will ask Virat Kohli to return to his original position in the team.
