Former Indian skipper and modern-day batting great, Virat Kohli is all set to be in action in his fourth ODI World Cup while taking the field in his first match for India, in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023. Prior to that, Kohli could also appear in the third ODI of the three-match home series against Australia.

Meanwhile, the Indian batting veteran has made it to the headlines recently for his actions out of the field. The 34-year-old was seen attending a pooja at his friend’s home on the occasion auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. The pictures of Kohli having the Ganpati statue in his hand, are also making rounds on social media as soon as an X user shared the photographs.

Speaking of cricket, Kohli was recently in action with Team India in the Asia Cup 2023, where the men in blue clinched the title after defeating Sri Lanka in a historic final clash in Colombo. Rohit Sharma’s men bundled out the hosts just at the score of 50 runs in 15.2 overs courtesy of Mohammed Siraj’s ferocious spell, in which he scalped 6 wickets at the cost of just 21 runs in 7 overs, having one maiden as well.

Virat Kohli was also one of the key performers for India in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2023; he smashed a record-breaking and remarkable century against the arch-rivals, Pakistan in India’s first super-4 match of the tournament. He also achieved a major milestone as he became the fastest to reach 13,000 ODI runs in just 267 innings, surpassing former legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar.

Apart from that, the 2011 World Cup-winning batter is just 3 centuries away from breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record of the highest number of ODI centuries (49). Kohli has now 47 centuries to his name. He will be eyeing on breaking Sachin’s record in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023, in India.
