According to Hopper HQ, the social media marketing solutions provider, Virat Kohli represents the only Indian amongst the top 25 global celebrities and the third-richest athlete on Instagram.
Kohli makes an astounding over Rs 11.45 crore each post, according to the Instagram Rich List. The veteran, however, claimed that the earnings report "is not true". Virat Kohli, a former captain of India, denied rumours on Saturday that said he earns an astounding INR 11.45 crore for each Instagram post he makes.
According to earlier rumours, Kohli is the highest-paid Indian user of Instagram. The same source claims that Ronaldo receives a hefty compensation of USD 3.23 million, or around INR 26.75 crore, for each sponsored post. Messi, his enduring opponent and the runner-up, makes USD 2.56 million, or INR 21.49 crore, every Instagram post.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore batter took to twitter to clarify this piece of information as he wrote, “While I am grateful and indebted to all that I’ve received in life, the news that has been making rounds about my social media earnings is not true.”
Kohli frequently shares images and videos related to his daily life on social media. This includes his workouts and time spent with his wife Anushka Sharma, whom he got married in December 2018.
Virat Kohli - on the field
While India plays a five-match T20I series against the West Indies, Kohli is now taking a break. The seasoned player is expected to return for India's participation in the Asia Cup 2023, which is due to begin later this month in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Recently, Kohli participated in the West Indies' Test and ODI series. He was not sent out to bat during the first ODI and was then rested alongside Indian team skipper Rohit Sharma.
Sachin Tendulkar's record for the quickest batsman to 13000 runs in ODI cricket could be broken by Virat Kohli. He is also anticipated to have a significant impact when India competes at the World Cup, which will get underway on October 5.
