Team India are currently busy preparing for the semi-final clash in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup in Australia. On 10 November 2022, the Men in Blue are going to take on England in Adelaide. However, India managed to win four out of their five matches so far in the tournament. But, before the tournament, Rohit Sharma and his men dealt a major blow. Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja got ruled out of the tournament due to his knee injury. 

Speaking to PTI, a senior official from the Indian Cricket Board confirmed that Ravindra Jadeja’s injury is quite serious. He said: “Jadeja's right knee injury is pretty serious. He is supposed to undergo major knee surgery and will be out of action for an indefinite period of time. At this point, if one goes by the assessment of the NCA's medical team, one can't put a timeline on his imminent international comeback.”

Chennai might not trade or release Ravindra Jadeja as MS Dhoni shared his stance - Reports 

So, currently, the Indian player is nursing his knee injury. However, several reports have been circulating that Jadeja might go for a new team in the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League. But, recent reports were there that MS Dhoni suggested Chennai not to release the star all-rounder. As per reports in Times of India, MS Dhoni has said that no other player can replicate what Jadeja can do at number 7 and his value in home matches at Chepauk. So, Jadeja might end up staying at the Chennai franchise for the next season of the Indian T20 League. 

However, the Indian Selectors announced the final squad for the upcoming tours of New Zealand and Bangladesh. There, they included Ravindra Jadeja for the three-match ODI and two-match Test series in Bangladesh. However, now reports are circulating that his wife, Rivaba Jadeja might contest for the BJP in Gujarat's Jamnagar North Seat. On the other hand, his sister Naina Jadeja might contest for Congress. So, both of his family members contesting during an election for two different parties will be a huge thing for Ravindra Jadeja.
