Pakistan began their 20-20 World Cup 2022 on 23 October 2022 against India in Melbourne. But, they lost the match against their arch-rivals. So, they took on Zimbabawe in their second match of the tournament on 27 October in Perth. Fans were also waiting for a better performance in this match from Babar Azam and his men.
But, they failed miserably to put smiles back on their fans’ faces. The Men in Green lost the match by one run. After such a humiliating loss, many former and current cricketers came out to show their frustration over the team on social media platforms. Mohammad Amir also shared a tweet regarding that performance which went viral instantly.

Mohammad Amir criticized the Pakistan squad even before the 20-20 World Cup began
Speaking about the tweet, Amir demanded changes at the Pakistan Cricket Board. He wrote that they need to get rid of the current chairman and chief selectors from the Board for better results in future.
Amir Wrote: “from day one I said poor selection ub is cheez ki responsibility kon le ga I think it's time to get rid of so-called chairman jo pcb ka khuda bana hwa hai and so-called chief selector.” Before the World Cup, Mohammed Amir took a dig at Muhammad Wasim, Pakistan’s Chief selector. He said that it was a ‘cheap’ selection from the chief selector. On Twitter, Amir wrote: “chief selector ki cheap selection.”
Speaking about the match, Zimbabwe won the toss and choose to bat first. They scored 130 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Pakistan bowlers put some break on Zimbabwe as they had a great start in the first six overs. In reply, the Men in Green only managed to score 129 runs in 20 overs by losing eight wickets. Sikandar Raza won the player of the match award for his match-winning performance with the ball. He took three wickets for 25 runs in his four overs at the Perth.
