Former legendary Indian skipper MS Dhoni shares a special bond with the star CSK pacer and his teammate Deepak Chahar. There have been instances during the Indian Premier League when Dhoni and Chahar were seen having some special moments together. Dhoni has also been seen getting angry at Chahar on a few occasions.

Recently, the CSK skipper spoke about Deepak Chahar and his presence in the team. Dhoni said that he doesn’t think the pacer would ever get matured in his lifetime.

"Deepak Chahar is like a drug, if he is not there, you would think, where is he - if he is around, you would think, why he is here - the good part is that he is maturing but he takes time & that is the problem, in my lifetime, I won't see him matured (smiles),” said Dhoni during a launch event of a movie under his production company.

Talking about cricket, the Rajasthan-born pacer played a crucial role in CSK’s journey to the title triumph during the Indian Premier League 2023 earlier this year. This was the fifth time in the history of the tournament that the Men in Yellow lifted the title under the captaincy of Dhoni. They joined Mumbai Indians to become the most successful team in the history of the tournament.

Coming back to Dhoni, there are speculations that Dhoni could appear for Chennai Super Kings one more time in the next edition of the Indian Premier League in 2024. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan had also spoken about Dhoni’s injury and the possibility of continuing with CSK in the future. Viswanathan felt that Dhoni will be available for the next season.
