In a delightful piece of news, the star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has made remarkable progress in rehabilitation from the injury that he sustained during an accident last year. Notably, he met a horrific accident last year on the 30th of December 2022 on the Delhi-Dehradun highway while he was traveling to Haridwar.
The media reports have learned that the Indian Cricket Board confirmed about Rishabh Pant, has started batting and wicketkeeping in the nets.
“He has made significant progress in his rehabilitation and has commenced batting as well as keeping in the nets. He is currently following a fitness program designed for him which includes strength, flexibility, and running,” reads a media release by the Indian Cricket Board on the medical update of Team India.
Subsequently, a section of Indian cricket fans immediately took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and expressed their happiness over Pant’s speedy recovery. Some of the fans are also expecting that he could be back in action for Team India on the field shortly within a period of the next year.
Here’s how fans reacted:
Come on rishabh come on.

Other than Rishabh Pant, Indian Cricket Board also came up with an update on the recovery of veteran opener KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer from their respective injuries.
“They have resumed batting in the nets and are currently undergoing strength and fitness drills. The Indian Cricket Board Medical Team is satisfied with their progress and will increase their intensity in terms of both skills and strength and conditioning in the coming days,” the media release adds further.
Speaking of India's senior men’s team, they are currently in action in the two-match Test series against West Indies. Both teams are locking horns in the second and last of the two-match Test series at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain in Trinidad. Interestingly, this match is also the 500th international appearance for the former skipper and batting superstar, Virat Kohli.
Coming back to Rishabh Pant, he was in action for Team India last time in the bilateral series against Bangladesh in December 2022.
