India’s performance at the Commonwealth Games 2022 has been nothing short of incredible as the athletes have given their everything on the field to bring medals home for the country. Thanks to a magnificent performance from all the athletes, India are placed fifth on the medals tally, having won 47 medals out of which 16 are Gold.
There are more additions expected to the tally as India will feature in various medal matches later in the day. There’s a final of the women’s T20 competition where India will be up against Australia. There’s a final of men’s hockey scheduled today as well. Indian badminton stars will also be seen competing for the medals as P.V Sindhu has her semi-final game scheduled later today.
India will be looking to topple New Zealand who are in the fourth position with 17 Gold medals to their name in the medals tally. The athletes will sweat it out on the field to give an excellent finish to the successful run in the Commonwealth Games 2022.
India finished at the third spot in the last edition of the Games in Gold Coast, Australia. India’s best-ever performance came in the 2010 edition of the tournament when they finished on the second spot in the medals tally.
