Former Indian cricketer Mohammed Kaif finally got his moment to hit back at Australia and clear off the books of the debate that ignited after India’s loss against Australia in the final of the ODI World Cup 2023. Notably, both teams played the summit clash of the prestigious cricket quadrennial at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Following the final, Mohammed Kaif came up with a statement that started a debate between the Indian and Australian camps.

“I can never accept that the best team has won the World Cup. The Indian team is the best team on paper. Congratulations to Australia but I am not ready to accept that the best team won the World Cup,” said Kaif on Star Sports.

This Indian team has been the best side. They are the best team on paper. They would win so many times playing against the same Australian team, even though they lost today. It was one of those bad days, this happens sometimes,” he added later.

Now, Kaif has come up with another hard-hitting post over X after India’s 4-1 series win against Australia in the five-match T20I series.

"Better talent, better skills. This time the better team on the field, and paper, won. 4-1,” wrote Kaif in a post from his official X-handle.

Here’s a look at the X-post from Mohammed Kaif after India’s win over Australia:

Speaking of the action of the fifth T20I of the five-match series between India and Australia, the visitors’ skipper Matthew Wade won the toss and asked the men in blue to bat first. Batting first, the hosts managed to post a respectable total of 160 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

While defending the target, Indian bowlers produced some brilliant bowling performances and restricted the Aussies to the score of 154 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs; eventually, India won the match by 6 runs to seal the series by 4-1.
