Former Pakistan Cricket Board president Ramiz Raja has fallen on the receiving end of harsh social media trolling following one of his viral statements about the star Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. Notably, Ramiz Raja has been in the headlines of social media for his recent statements regarding the changes in Pakistan cricket.

Coming back to his statement on Cristiano Ronaldo, Ramiz Raja said in a TV show, “NASA Scientists plan Cristiano Ronaldo’s diet plan.” These comments from the former PCB chief and former World Cup-winning cricketer immediately went viral on social media as soon as a cricket fan shared a video clip over X (formerly Twitter).

Just a few days back, Ramiz Raja attracted the cricket headlines for his fiery comments as he lashed out at the Pakistan Cricket Team and Pakistan Cricket Board. His comments came after Babar Azam-led Pakistan’s dismal run in the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023. The men in green were eliminated from the league stage of the tournament after losing 5 out of the 9 matches, they played throughout the tournament.

“Jab Naye ball se wickets nahi lenge, aap expensive hote jayenge toh Bababr Azam kya khaak kaptani karega (When bowlers will not take wickets with the new ball and start getting expensive, how would Babar Azam do captaincy), said Ramiz Raja in a video on his YouTube Channel.

“And then they (PCB) would gather some ex-cricketers and ask them how to fix cricket? Who put them in charge (of the board)? Is their job just to huddle together and change the captain and the coaching staff and everyone would think they have taken a major step,” he added later.

Speaking of the Pakistan Cricket Team, they will now be in action in the upcoming three-match Test series against Australia under the captaincy of new Test skipper Shan Masood.
