Former Indian skipper and the modern-day batting great, Virat Kohli enjoys a massive fan following globally, be it on the field or off the field. Meanwhile, in a piece of good news for cricket fans, especially Virat Kohli fans, the Olympics official happened to use Kohli’s picture to represent the inclusion of cricket in the LA28 Olympics.

Notably, cricket will be a part of the Olympics scheduled to be held in Los Angeles five years later in 2028. Recently, cricket was also a part of the Asian Games 2022, held in China. Team India ended up winning the gold medal in both men’s and women’s cricket competitions in the Asian Games 2022. The men’s cricket team was led by star batter Ruturaj Gaikwad whereas Smriti Mandhana led the women’s cricket team in the competition during the recently concluded edition of the Asian Games, in China.

Coming back to Kohli, he recently attracted the eyeballs of the global cricketing fraternity for another masterclass with the bat for India in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. The 34-year-old batting great played a match-defining knock of 85 runs for India in their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign opener against Australia.

Apart from that, Kohli also stabilized the Indian innings, alongside the wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul after the men in blue were looking in extreme trouble as they lost 3 wickets only on the score 2 runs in 2 overs. The Kohli-Rahul duo also stitched an amazing partnership of 165 runs for the fourth wicket in India’s favour, which eventually helped India to win the match by a margin of 6 wickets and start their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign with a convincing win.

Now, Virat Kohli will be in action with Team India in the next ODI World Cup 2023 match tomorrow Wednesday, October 11 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, in Delhi.
