The ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 in India has been filled of a lot of things, alongside cricket; it has seen a lot of controversial statements, incidents, especially involving Pakistan, the team which has been a nucleus of most of the incidents in the tournament so far. In the same line of events, a similar incident recently happened during the ongoing World Cup game between Australia and Pakistan.
Notably, Pakistan are locking horns in the ongoing match against Australia at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Meanwhile, an incident took place in the stands which has attracted the eyeballs and a lot of criticism from the cricket fans, even from the Indian cricket fans as well.
It all happened when a Pakistan fan was chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ to cheer his team in the match against Australia. But a police officer came to him and asked him to not chant ‘Pakistan Zindabad’. The fan retaliated with a response throwing a counter question on Policeman that why he can’t chant ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ to support his team as every team’s fan are supposed to support their country’s team with the special chants in the stadium.
The video of this incident immediately started making rounds on social media s soon as it was shared by Pakistan-based comedian and TV host Momin Shaqib from his official X handle. Even Indian fans have criticized the behaviour of Police officer with the Pakistan fan.
Here’s the video of the incident:
It's shocking and upsetting to see that people are being stopped from cheering "Pakistan Zindabad" at the game.

Here’s how fans reacted to Police’s officer’s behaviour with Pakistan fan:
Kyon hamare desh ki bezzati karwane par tulle ho agar itni dikkat thi toh pakistan team ko visa hi kyon diya ya unhe WC bulaya hi kyon.

Ya unke supporter ko bhi visa na dete ye mehmaan h hamare ..
kal ko hum indian ko bahar ja kar koi aise roke hindustan jindabaad bolne se toh…
Seems like an isolated incident. We're typically very welcoming hosts and don't usually intervene like this. It's possible that the person was mistaken for being Indian due to their skin color. Asking for a passport to clarify would have been a solution, but I don't anticipate…

Shame on these poor mental people

This officer does not represent all Indians. However, whatever his justification was to stop this fan, it’s still not right. This is not in the book! Security is meant to enable fans to enjoy the games.

This is just a moment for us to realise that cricket is a medium to bring…
Every person has the right to support his own country’s team

He wasn't saying 'Pakistan Zindabad' in India vs non-Pak match, not in front of any Indian crowd/temple/leader, not even trying to humiliate anyone.
He was just there to support his team. If India keeps creating such problems for outsiders,…
While this is not done as they supporting their country for a WC match.

I guess Bangluru police is doing it so that RW dont run a propaganda on below like :
'When Pakistan fans are not allowed a Visa for matches, then who is chanting Pakistan Zindabad in Indian grounds'
