Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya trapped the Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq in the ongoing high-octane clash between India and Pakistan in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. Notably, both teams are playing this big match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and asked the men in green to bat first.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Siraj and Hardik Pandya have scalped 1 wicket each for India so far. Pakistan have scored 100 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 18 overs, having skipper Babar Azam and star wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan there in the middle at the individual scores of 29 and 14 runs, respectively.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya made it to the social media headlines for his celebration style after dismissing Imam-ul-Haq. Pandya was seen giving a send-off to the Pakistan batter with a ‘bye-bye’ gesture. Apart from that, he was also seen doing something with the ball before he started run-up on the ball, which scalped Imam’s wicket.

Speaking of the journey of both India and Pakistan so far in the ODI World Cup 2023, both teams are coming off with two successive wins in their first two matches. India defeated Australia and Afghanistan in their first two matches by a margin of 6 and 8 wickets, respectively.

On the other hand, Babar Azam’s Pakistan outclassed the Netherlands and Sri Lanka in their first two matches by very good margins of 81 runs and 6 wickets, respectively. Apart from that, Pakistan also created history after chasing down the highest-ever target of the ODI World Cup history during the match against Sri Lanka, after chasing down 345 runs.

Coming back to Hardik Pandya, he could be a crucial element for India in the ongoing game against Pakistan at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad as it is his home ground for him in the Indian Premier League.
