The 24-time Grand Slam champion discussed their camaraderie, emphasizing a connection that has developed over several years. Djokovic, aged 36, is attracting attention with his fitness and steadfast determination as he prepares for the Australian Open.
In a conversation with Sony Sports, the Serbian Tennis player revealed that he and Virat Kohli had exchanged messages for a few years, and they never had the opportunity to meet face-to-face. However, it was described as a genuine privilege and honor for Djokovic to hear Kohli speak positively about him. The legendary Tennis player even said that he holds great admiration for Kohli's career, achievements, and all that he has accomplished.
"Virat Kohli and I have been texting a little bit for a few years, and we never got the chance to meet in person. But it was really a privilege and honour to listen to him speak nicely about me, and I obviously admire his career and achievements and everything he has done," Novak said on Sony Sports Network.

As Novak Djokovic targets his 25th Grand Slam title, he expressed his admiration for India and elaborated on his intentions to revisit the country. Reflecting on his last trip a decade ago, the legendary Tennis star also conveyed a strong desire to delve into India's abundant history, culture, and spirituality.
"I have been to India only once so far in my life. It was, I think, 10 or 11 years ago. I came to play an exhibition event in New Delhi for two days. It was a very short stay. So, I really hope that I will be able to come back in the near future because I have a great desire, great wish to explore your beautiful country that has so much history, so much culture to offer to the world and spirituality as well. It's amazing," shared Djokovic.
