India won the first game of the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan to a 1-0 lead in Mohali. Shivam Dube showed his class with the bat to score his second T20I half-century. Rinku Singh was on the other end as he helped his team cross the line with ease.
As the two teams made their way to Indore it was all fun and games in the plan. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Rinku Singh are teammates at Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Rinku Singh was sleeping as Gurbaz snuck up and decided to have some fun.

At first, Rinku Singh was taken aback as he was pulled out of his sleep. Seeing that it was Gurbaz the youngster broke into a smile. The Afghan wicketkeeper too could be seen in a playful mood with the Indian batter.
Focus shifts to the second game on Sunday-
Rohit Sharma and India will hope that Rinku Singh can keep his fine start to his T20I career on Sunday. Indore will host the second game before the series finale moves to Bengaluru. It is expected to be yet another game that could see Dew play a crucial role.
Ahead of the second game, former India star Aakash Chopra took to YouTube and spoke about Rinku Singh. “I feel left-handers won’t be there in the World Cup at all. When you select your top six batters, you will get at the most one left-hander, only one, am not kidding”
The 46-year-old also said “If Rohit and Virat open, and Suryakumar comes in at number three, you don’t have a keeper in the top 3. If Jitesh is the keeper down the order, and he is a right-hander. If Hardik Pandya comes at number four, he is a right-hander. Only one left-hander will come in the middle”
Speaking about Virat Kohli the former Indian skipper is expected to be back for the second game on Sunday. Shubman Gill will have to sit out as it is expected that Rohit and Kohli will open the batting. *
The Indian skipper had lost his cool on the youngster after a mix-up cost Rohit his wicket. Despite having a stellar IPL record, Gill hasn’t been able to convert his start in the T20I format. Many have speculated that Gill may find it difficult to make it to West Indies for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
