Pakistan finally registered their third win in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 after facing four successive defeats following two initial wins against Netherlands and Sri Lanka. They recently defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets to keep their hopes tied with a thread of hope in the semi-final contention of the current edition.

Meanwhile, the star Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan attracted social media headlines and fans’ reactions after being the centre image of a hilarious incident during the recently concluded Pakistan vs Bangladesh clash in the ODI World Cup 2023.

The video of this hilarious incident started making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter). It all happened when Shaheen Afridi bowled at the pads of Bangladesh batter Taskin Ahmed; subsequently, the Pakistan players, including skipper Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan involved in a discussion about whether to take DRS or not.

Meanwhile, in a hilarious turnaround of events, Rizwan went on to ask the batter Taskin Ahmed himself if he was out or not out.

“Bat laga hai ki nahin (did the ball hit your bat),” asked Rizwan to Taskin.

“Ye keh rha hai bat laga hai,” responded Rizwan to Shaheen and Babar after asking Taskin Ahmed.

Speaking of the action of the match, Pakistan skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, the veteran middle-order batter Mahmudullah scored a half-century, with 56 runs, hitting 6 fours and a six. Other than him, it was only the opener Litton Das who scored 45 runs. On the back of these knocks, Bangladesh somehow managed to get a total of 204 runs, losing all the wickets in 45.1 overs.

While chasing the target, Pakistan crossed the line in 32.3 overs, scoring 205 runs for the loss of 3 wickets to win the match by 3 wickets.
