David Warner has scored a hundred in the first Test of his last Test series. The star opener scored a terrific hundred at Optus stadium in Perth against Pakistan. The Southpaw registered his 26th Test hundred against Pakistan on a tricky wicket to bat on. The fans were delighted with the performance of the experienced batter and bowed down to his knock on the first day of the match.

A lot of stuff was going on off the field between Warner and Mitchell Johnson concerning the former's retirement date. Johnson questioned the decision of Warner to set his retirement date in Test cricket and felt that one does not deserve to set a date while not scoring enough runs for himself. Johnson pointed out the form of Warner coming into the Test against Pakistan.

In the last 2 years, Warner has not been at his fluent best as a batter in Test cricket. Johnson pointed it out and felt that Warner had no right to set his retirement date. Things got ugly when the former Australia pacer spoke about the sandpaper gate of 2018 against South Africa, where Warner was found guilty. The two had exchanges against each other in the last few days.

David Warner's fabulous hundred against Pakistan

On the day of the first day of the first Test, Warner did not show any jitters, as he took on the Pakistani attack without any mercy. The star batter targeted the bowlers right from the word go and made sure that Australia remained ahead in the game. Against an attack that had the experience of Shaheen Afridi and nearly nothing otherwise, Warner hit some wonderful shots.

The pitch has some uneven bounce. But the 37-year-old was not worried about it. In his stay in the middle, Warner hit 14 fours and a six. A total of 62 runs, out of 102 runs came from the boundaries itself. The aggressive batter was totally over Pakistan, as Australia moved forward rather too quickly in the game which seems to be in their pocket at the moment.

Here's how the fans reacted to it:
