In a recent piece of news, former Pakistan skipper and the modern-day batting star, Babar Azam is set to launch his clothing brand named ‘BA56’. The news went viral across social media as soon it was broken by the economy.pk; it also attracted a lot of different reactions from cricket fans both from India and Pakistan.

Notably, Babar Azam has been hitting the headlines both in social and mainstream media since he stepped down as a skipper of the Pakistan Cricket Team; Babar took this decision after the team’s disappointing performance and dismal in the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023 last month.

Babar Azam to play his first Test series after resigning from captaincy

The men in green under the captaincy of Babar Azam lost 5 matches out of the 9 matches, they played in the tournament; eventually, they were knocked out from the league stage of the tournament.

Subsequently, when Babar Azam resigned from the captaincy of the Pakistan Cricket Team across all formats, the Pakistan Cricket Board appointed two different skippers in T20I and Test cricket, respectively. Star pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi was appointed as the skipper of Pakistan in the shortest format of the game.

On the other hand, the veteran batter Shan Masood was appointed as the Test skipper of the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team.

Now, the Pakistan team is all set to play against Australia in the three-match Test series in Australia, starting with the first Test at the Perth Stadium in Perth, on Thursday, December 14 onwards. The team will be playing under the captaincy of newly-appointed Test skipper Shan Masood; it will be the first assignment for Shan Masood as Pakistan’s Test skipper.
