The veteran Indian batter Shikhar Dhawan had to go through a lot of pain, which was revealed to the public later when a Delhi Court issued a judgement in his favour during a divorce case with his ex-wife. Meanwhile, Dhawan recently spoke his heart out while speaking about his son Zoravar Singh during an interview with Humans of Bombay.
He was quite emotional while talking about separation from his son since his divorce from his ex-wife Aesha Mukherjee. A lot of Indian cricket fans became quite emotional while reacting over X (formerly Twitter) on Shikhar Dhawan’s statement.
"I want to spend quality time with him" - Shikhar Dhawan for his son
“When I used to visit my son in Australia for a week, he used to meet me only for a few hours. I want to spend quality time with him, want him to sleep in my arms, I want to hug him tight, give him the father's love he deserves. I haven't had a word with him for the last 5-6 months,” said Dhawan to Humans of Bombay.
“I'm still positive and sending love to my son. I want him to be happy, hopefully, one day if God wants, he'll be back with me,” he added later.
Speaking of cricket, Dhawan has been out of action from the national squad of India for the last 13 months since December 10, 2022, when he played his last ODI for India against Bangladesh in Chattogram; it was the third and last ODI of the three-match ODI series between Bangladesh and India.
Since then, Dhawan hasn’t been a part of the national men’s squad of India in either of the formats as the management started counting on the young bunch of openers, including the likes of Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Currently, the senior men’s Indian team is in action in the five-match series against England under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.

Everytime I read about him, see his story it hurts at a different level. He maintains his smile, speaks about all the personal turmoil he's been through. Hope he gets all the strength & gets to be with his Zoravar. Rab rakha ❤️
