The veteran Indian batter Shikhar Dhawan recently shared a very emotional and heartfelt Instagram post to wish his separated son Zoravar on his birthday. In his Instagram post, Shikhar Dhawan also mentioned getting blocked on all social media platforms by his divorced wife Ayesha Dhawan after a Delhi court granted divorce to Dhawan.

Dhawan shared a screenshot of an old video call with his son Zoravar with an emotional and long caption with the picture.

“It’s been a year since I saw you in person, and now, for almost three months, I’ve been blocked from everywhere so Posting the same picture to wish you, my boy, a very Happy Birthday. Even if I can’t connect with you directly, I connect with you through Telepathy. I am so proud of you, and I know you’re doing great and growing up nicely,” wrote Shikhar Dhawan in his Instagram post.

“Papa always misses you and loves you. He’s always positive, waiting with a smile for the time when we will meet again by the Grace of God. Be naughty but not destructive, be a giver, be humble, compassionate, patient, and strong. Despite not seeing you, I write you messages almost every day, asking about your well-being and daily life, sharing what I’m doing and what’s new in my life. Love you loads Zora,” he added later.

Here’s a look at the Instagram post from Shikhar Dhawan for his son:

Earlier in October this year, a Delhi Court came up with a verdict in the 38-year-old Indian cricketer’s favour and granted divorce to him. The court granted the divorce to him on grounds of ‘cruelty’ by his ex-wife Aesha Dhawan

“He (Dhawan) for no fault of his own had been through immense agony and anguish of living separately from his son for years. Even though the wife denied the allegation, submitting that she genuinely wanted to live in India with him, she did not choose to contest the claim. The respondent, by conducting herself in this manner, has inflicted such cruelty, agony and trauma on him, that the petitioner couldn't save the marriage,” said the court in a statement while announcing the verdict.
