The fans witnessed a beautiful afternoon at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday, October 14 before the start of the India vs Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 match. The Indian Cricket Board held a show filled with musical flavours and other artistic stuff. The star Bollywood playback singer Arijit Singh also made an appearance in the colourful pre-match show for the audience.
Meanwhile, a wholesome moment also happened during the pre-match show, due to which Arijit Singh made it to the social media headlines. It all happened when the Indian players were practising in the ground on the sidelines of the show and Arijit Singh couldn’t hold his emotions and love for the former Indian skipper and the modern-day batting great, Virat Kohli.
Arijit shouted ‘I love you Virat’ towards Virat Kohli and the latter came up with a very heartfelt response to the star singer. The video of this amazing moment has also gone viral over social media within minutes of being shared by an X (formerly Twitter) user.

Apart from this incident, Virat also happened to be the talk of the town when he mistakenly wore the wrong jersey of Team India with white stripes instead of the tri-colour stripes on the shoulder portion. Meanwhile, as soon as the batting stalwart realized his mistake, he immediately rushed to the changing room to change the jersey and came back into the ground with the jersey with tri-colour stripes.
Talking about cricket, Virat Kohli didn’t get a chance to showcase his batting for a long time in the match against Pakistan as he got out on the individual score of 16 runs while India were chasing a target of 192 runs. However, the 34-year-old has been in good form with the bat; he scored two consecutive and crucial half-centuries for India in the first two matches against Australia and Afghanistan, respectively. Now, he will be in action for Team India in their next match against Bangladesh in Pune on Thursday, October 19.
