The star Indian batter and skipper, Rohit Sharma has been in the headlines of social media just after the annual award show of the Indian Cricket Board. Notably, this annual award show of the Indian Cricket Board concluded on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma was seen imitating some of his teammates during an interview backstage.

As soon as the anchor made a request, Rohit Sharma started mimicking Burmah’s bowling action, alongside his pull shot and the favourite ‘scoop shot’ of Suryakumar Yadav. What attracted the eyeballs most was the moment when Rohit imitated the aggressive ‘after-wicket’ celebration of the former Indian skipper and the modern-day batting great, Virat Kohli.

Currently, Rohit Sharma is leading India in the ongoing first Test of the five-match series against England, in which the latter have taken a lead of 10 runs in the second innings with a score of 200 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Earlier, India posted a total of 436 runs in their first innings to take a 190-run lead in response to England’s first-innings total of 246 runs.

Speaking of Virat Kohli, he is currently on a rest from the first two Tests as he withdrew his name from the squad due to a personal emergency. In the same line of events, Kohli also missed the annual awards ceremony of the Indian Cricket Board in Hyderabad  on January 23, 2024.

However, Virat Kohli is likely to make a comeback in the Indian squad for the remaining three Tests of the five-match series against England; Kohli was recently in action for India in the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan in India.
