The Boxing Day Test between Australia and Pakistan at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground hangs in the balance after a pulsating third day. The Aussies lead by 241 runs in the third innings with 4 wickets remaining. Pakistan could have had them out for a lot less but fielding frailties came to haunt them once again.

Pakistan had reduced Australia to 16-4 at one point in time and there was a feeling that a rare victory in Australia was possible for the visitors. However, Abdullah Shafique dropped a regulation catch at first slip, his third mishap of the game, to give Mitchell Marsh a reprieve. Marsh went on to add 76 more runs as Australia clawed their way back into the game. The game is now titled towards the hosts but a Pakistani victory is still possible.

However, Pakistan must bowl extremely well tomorrow morning and dismiss as quickly as possible. After doing that, they will need to put up an improved show with the bat, something that has not worked out for them until this point. If they manage to beat Pat Cummins and Co., it will be a moment etched in the history of the game as Asian teams, barring India, have not tasted too much success Down Under.

As their tender embrace graced the giant screen, a ripple of laughter and good-natured cheers erupted throughout the stadium. Upon realising that they were being shown on the big screen, the couple, the girl in particular was startled. The boy attempted to shield his face as well. This innocent display of affection, unplanned and unprompted, resonated deeply with the crowd, offering a heartwarming counterpoint to the intense competition unfolding on the field.
