Former India head coach Ravi Shastri is mostly known for his antics off the field, be it during the commentary in the live match or during any TV discussion. Shastri always leaves some reasons for the fans to laugh and talk about. He did a similar sort of thing in the recently-concluded 37^th match of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023.

The incident happened when India were batting, with former skipper Virat Kohli there in the middle, alongside Shreyas Iyer. Meanwhile, the TV screens were showing skipper Rohit Sharma saying something to Ishan Kishan to give a message to Kohli and Iyer in the middle. Amidst all this, Ravi Shastri grabbed the attention with his use of words while commentating for Star Sports.

“Woh batsman phir andar aakar bolega Ishan toh kuch aur hi bola tha, aur phir chaddi kisi aur ki ghis jaayegi (Batter will go back inside the changing room and will say ‘Ishan said something else’ then the someone else’s underwear would be taken off),” said Shastri on air during the match.

It all happened India had scored 133 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 21.5 overs, having Kohli on 40 runs and Shreyas Iyer on 17 runs in the middle. The video of Ravi Shastri’s particular comment for Ishan Kishan immediately went viral over social media within minutes of being shared by a user over X (formerly Twitter).
