The same aura of one of the greatest batters of all time was recently seen in Mumbai when a statue of him was unveiled at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai ahead of the India vs Sri Lanka clash in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023.

Sachin Tendulkar also visited the spot where his statue was made at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The pictures of this iconic moment also started making rounds within minutes of being shared over the X (formerly Twitter) by a user.

It also attracted a lot of exciting reactions from ardent cricket fans, especially the devoted fans of the veteran of 34,357 international runs and the remarkable 100 international centuries.

Notably, Sachin Tendulkar was a part of the Indian playing XI 12 years back when the men in blue faced Sri Lanka in an ODI World Cup 2023 match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai; it was none other than the unforgettable and iconic final of the ODI World Cup 2011, where India emerged victorious to lift the ODI World Cup title after a long wait of 28 years since they won it first time in the year 1983 under Kapil Dev’s captaincy.

It was also the sixth ODI World Cup appearance of Sachin Tendulkar for India since he made his debut in the ODI World Cup 1992, and it finally summed up with the glorious finish as India won the prestigious cricket quadrennial.
