The star Indian Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav continued his impressive form of Asia Cup 2023 in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 as well. He bowled brilliantly for India in their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign opener against the five-time champions, Australia. Kuldeep scalped two big wickets of David Warner and Glenn Maxwell to play a vital role in making India’s position dominant in the match.

He scalped 2 wickets at the cost of only 42 runs in his quota of 10 overs with a good economy rate of 4.20. Kuldeep’s contribution was also important for India as he broke the 69-run partnership between David Warner and Steve Smith for the second wicket.

Speaking of the ongoing action of the match between India and Australia, the hosts bundled out the Aussies on the score of 199 runs in 49.3 overs in the first innings. Ravindra Jadeja emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the innings, with 3 wickets at the cost of just 28 runs in his quota of 10 overs. Other than Jadeja and Kuldeep, Jasprit Bumrah also picked two wickets, alongside one wicket each bagged by Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Siraj, and Hardik Pandya.

At the moment, former skipper Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul have stabilised the Indian innings with a partnership of 90 runs for the fourth wicket. Kohli has scored 45 runs, alongside KL Rahul’s 44 runs as India have reached 92 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 24 overs while chasing the target of 200 runs.
