Chennai Super Kings roped in some star players, both international and uncapped in their squad for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. One of the major highlights among uncapped players was the young middle-order batter from Meerut, Sameer Rizvi who was bought by CSK for a big amount of INR 8.40 crores.

Apart from that, the defending champions also picked the young New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra in their IPL 2024 squad.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Chennai Super Kings, Kasi Viswanathan came up with a big praise for the skipper MS Dhoni after the end of the IPL 2024 auction at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. Kasi Viswanathan also expressed his hopes for a better performance of Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2024 under the captaincy of the former legendary Indian skipper.

The video of Kasi Viswanathan’s statement for CSK, and especially for skipper MS Dhoni was shared by CSK from their official X handle (formerly Twitter).

“A lot of good players we got in this year’s auction. The players needed by the leader (MSD) and he got everything he asked for and that’s a big luck for us. I think this year will be a good year for our team,” said Kasi Viswanathan in CSK’s released video.

“I always say one thing, we have a leader like Thalaivan Dhoni there with us and you know what he will do. So I am confident that there will be a good result this year too, fans are looking forward to whether MSD will play or not this season. It will be a great joy for the people to watch their leader (MSD) come and play. He has his favourite players in the team so this year is going to be a very good year for us,” he added later.
