The young Indian batting sensation Rinku Singh stunned everyone with his blistering performance in the ongoing second T20I of the five-match series between India and Australia. The star Southpaw continued his brilliant and sensational form from the first T20I against Australia, where he finished the match and helped India win by 2 wickets.

In the ongoing second T20I at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, the visiting skipper Matthew Wade won the toss and asked India to bat first. India’s young opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad provided an explosive start of 77 runs for the first wicket in just 5.5 overs. Jaiswal smashed a 24-ball half-century, scoring 53 runs off just 25 balls followed by half-centuries from Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan.

Then came the batting heroics from Rinku Singh came at number 5 to bat for India and played a blistering and unbeaten knock of 31 runs off just 9 balls, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes, with an unbelievable strike rate of 344.44.

Rinku Singh guides India to a big finish 

On the back of brilliant batting heroics from the top order followed by Rinku Singh’s finish, India managed to post a big total of 235 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs; it is also the 5th highest total for India in the shortest format of the game.

Nathan Ellis scalped 3 wickets for Australia, conceding 45 runs in his quota of 4 overs, alongside 1 wicket picked by Marcus Stoinis, who conceded 27 runs in 3 overs. Alongside these two, all other Australian bowlers went very expensive in the first innings and conceded the runs with costly economy rates.

Speaking of the ongoing action of the match, Australia have scored 114 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 11.1 overs while chasing the target of 236 runs, having Marcus Stoinis and Tim David there in the middle. Spinners, Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi have scalped 1 and 2 wickets for India, alongside one wicket bagged by Prasidh Krishna.
